Five Fun Family Activities for Summer Family Fun

Summer is one of the most enjoyable times of the year for us. Whenever summer comes, we start thinking about what to do. Here is a summer bucket list for kids which is a checklist of exciting things you can do with your kids during this lovely season.

To kick off the first day of summer I created them summer baskets with things that they need for summer. Such as: beach towels, swim googles, sunglasses, and hats. I also included some fun items. Such as: board games, popsicles, road trip games, and some fun summer snacks. We also started to implement our summer bucket list. A summer bucket list for kids is going to have lots of fun activities and water adventures that the kids are going to love. Here’s a list of some of the best activities you can have fun doing this summer.

Five Must Do Family Summer Activities:

1. Family Movie Night

Nothing beats a a summer movie night with your family. Calling friends and family, making popcorn, and relaxing? Sounds like the perfect evening to us. So this summer grab all the yummy movie snacks and cozy blankets or even head to the theaters for some summer fun!

2. Family Board Game Night

Gather together around the table for fun, food and family friendly games. Get everyone involved! Game nights are a great opportunity to bond with family members from all generations.

3. Outdoor Water Fun

Ah, yes. Outdoor Water Fun! Water balloons - the most classic game for a hot summer day! So, be sure to have these beautiful things filled with fresh water before a hot summer day in order to stay cool and enjoy the pleasure of playing with them. 4. Make Ice cream Sundaes

Ice cream sundaes are a nice summer treat. Homemade ice cream sundae, a dessert that is tasty and refreshing. Whip out your favorite sundae supplies, and put together a delicious yet simple treat -- an ice cream sundae! Add all your favorite toppings and ice-cream!

5. Make a summer scrapbook or memory box

The end of summer is always an emotional time for me. The time for school, fall, and the holidays is on its way. But with those bittersweet changes, comes a wealth of memories and nostalgia! You can create a summer scrapbook that kids can look back at year after year.
